Private events in Tuscany, cooked outdoors.

The night before the wedding. The birthday where nobody wants a seating plan. The reunion where the point is that everyone stands around the fire with a drink. These are the evenings I like cooking most, and they are deliberately less formal than the wedding day, and deliberately unscripted: you pick the night, the hour and how long it runs, and I cook to that rather than to a programme.

Good to know

  • Outdoor formats need a wet-weather plan. I will ask about it early: Tuscan Septembers are not always what the brochure suggested.
  • Wood-fired pizza needs an oven on site or access for a mobile one; tell me the venue and I will check.
  • Dietary requirements are handled as standard, including gluten-free pizza dough with a separate peel and station.
  • Doing the whole wedding weekend? Start with wedding catering and we will plan the events around it.

Tell me about your plans.

Every enquiry reaches me directly and I reply personally, at any hour of any day, with availability, honest advice, and a quote if you want one. Nothing here is a fixed package: tell me the date, the place and the people, and we build it around those.

Questions, answered.

What kinds of private events do you cater in Tuscany?

Mainly three: wood-fired pizza parties, Tuscan BBQ nights, and welcome dinners for wedding weekends. Beyond those I also cook milestone birthdays, family reunions and corporate dinners. If you are unsure whether yours fits, describe it and I will tell you honestly.

How many guests can you handle for an event?

From about ten up to 150, depending on format. Pizza and BBQ scale better than a seated multi-course dinner, because the cooking is continuous rather than plated all at once.

Can you do gluten-free pizza?

Yes: a separate dough, its own peel and a clean section of the bench. Tell me at the enquiry stage how severe the requirement is and I will explain exactly how I set it up.

Do you cater the night before a wedding?

Constantly: it is one of the most common bookings I take. If I am cooking the wedding as well, the two menus get planned together so your guests do not eat a version of the same meal twice.

What happens if it rains?

We agree a fallback when you book rather than on the day. Most venues have a loggia, barn or covered terrace; the menu barely changes, the setting does.
