Private chef · Tuscany

A private chef in Tuscany, in your kitchen.

You have rented a house with a beautiful kitchen and no intention of spending your holiday in it. I shop the morning market, cook in that kitchen, serve dinner on your terrace, and leave it cleaner than I found it. One booking an evening (your table is the only one I am cooking for), and dinner starts when you want it, whether that is 19:00 or after the children are finally asleep.

Good to know

  • I need to know what your kitchen has: oven, hob, fridge space. Send a photo if you are unsure; villa listings are optimistic.
  • Wine can be handled by you or by me. If you would like pairings from the estates around Montespertoli, say so.
  • Renting through an agency or managing the villa yourself? See villas & hotels for partner arrangements.
  • Want to cook rather than be cooked for? That is the cooking class.
  • Nothing here is a set menu on a set night. Tell me the evenings you want me and the ones you would rather have to yourselves, and we build the week around that.

Working out what to book

Tell me about your plans.

Every enquiry reaches me directly and I reply personally, at any hour of any day, with availability, honest advice, and a quote if you want one. Nothing here is a fixed package: tell me the date, the place and the people, and we build it around those.

Questions, answered.

What does a private chef in Tuscany cost?

It scales with the number of guests, the number of courses and whether I am shopping for you, so I quote per booking rather than per head. Tell me the dates, the villa and how many of you there are, and you will have a straight answer back the same day: I read enquiries at any hour, holidays included.

Do you bring your own equipment?

I bring knives, small equipment and anything specialised. What I rely on from the villa is an oven, a working hob and fridge space, which is why I ask about the kitchen before confirming. Send a photo if you are not sure what you have.

Can you cook for dietary restrictions?

Yes, and it shapes the whole menu rather than producing one different plate at the end of the table. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal and allergies are all routine: tell me at the enquiry stage, not on the day.

Which areas of Tuscany do you cover?

I am based at Montespertoli, about 30 minutes from Florence, and cook across Tuscany from there: Chianti, San Gimignano, Siena, the Val d'Elsa and the villa country in between. Further afield is possible; ask and I will tell you honestly whether it makes sense.

How do I book you?

Send an enquiry with your dates, location and group size. It reaches me directly and I reply personally, at any hour of any day: no agency, no call centre, no opening times to wait for.
